Artistic gymnastics is characterized by the performance of acrobatic movements that demand strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. It is practiced on various apparatuses, including the balance beam, vault, parallel bars, uneven bars, and floor exercise mats.
The gymnastics program was established at the Rosary Sisters School in Jerusalem in 2018, and since its inception, it has included over 800 female students, ranging from preschool to twelfth grade. The team has participated in numerous local and international competitions, achieving remarkable results. Notably, in the international championship held in Jordan in 2022, the students secured first place across all age groups and apparatuses.
The gymnastics program is led by coach Hala Jaber, who holds a doctorate in athletic talent identification in gymnastics. The program also benefits from a specialized coaching staff, including experts like Vladimir Shor, the former champion of Ukraine in artistic gymnastics.
